[HoE] Regarding Responses on my Exploding Car query
Hi, all:
Thought I'd answer all the questions my inquiry brought up in one e-mail.
First of all, the thermal detonator is just enough to spark the gas and set
it ablaze. Two adventures ago the posse took the car off the main villain
they encountered, who'd put the detonator on the car in case anyone stole
it from him. He's showing up Harrowed in this week's gaming session,
activating the charge while the posse is driving along.
The car's a sedan, with no special modifications to it.
Two posse members will have three Fate Chips at time of detonation, while
the third will have only one. Of course the third has very little
equipment to weigh him down and possesses Supernatural Quickness of 1d12+8,
so he might be able to leap from the car before it goes boom.
And no, I'm not trying to be nice to the posse. As I related on the list
over the summer my posse seems to spread death and destruction whereever
they go, and despite my best efforts always get away unscathed. At least
until two adventures ago, where they got their first taste of the Combine
and their automaton legion. Last adventure they managed to unleash a
plague on NorCal, fleeing when they were unable to take down the
abomination responsible. This week they get to meet the Harrowed former
owner of said exploding car and visit a town with a vampire problem. I
think it's time their bad karma caught up with them. ;)
Thanks to all who've offered suggestions on the exploding car situation.

Who knows he's tired because he used the term "bad karma"
