Plus, it's always useful to have a chip available to have any
secretly-harrowed posse members switch sides during the final throwdown.
Handy, that is, if you're enough of an evil bastard to set it up that
way! I'm talkin' to you, Goff! :)
I still say we could have taken them if I hadn't have gone evil, but at
least it was fun doing a job for the dirtiest player in the game!
As to the guy whose posse cruised through intact, I can only think that
you must have read something wrong somewhere. At the Invitational at
GenCon we lost three (I think) out of seven PCs on the way in, and most
everybody else was pretty badly chewed up by the final fight, where we
were wiped out. Except for me, 'cause I joined the winning team.
Anyway, so they lived. You'll Goff 'em next time!
