Except that the system set up in DeadLands is not one where you pray to the 
powers that be for the power to use your spells. It's you must conform to a 
certain code and believe system.  It's all about how you concieve of your 
ability to recieve power from the hunting grounds. It's all about faith. I 
forget which book mentions it, but the AB's all have the genitic make up to 
use the power of the Hunting Grounds the difference in their powers, and how 
they go about it is determined by their faith. IE Blessed bielieve in a 
higher power, which just happens to give them a beanie through no corruption, 
Doomsayers bielieve in the way of the Atom. They both use the power of the 
Hunting Grounds, the only differences is how they concieve of what they do. 
This also limits the type and mix of spells they recieve.
