The issue I have with it is that you don't take any wounds at all until
the character is unconscious.  People get their noses broken all the time
in fights; and that doesn't come back at a rate of 1 Wind per minute.
The old system was a little obtuse, but it worked: for every increment of
the victim's size, he takes 3 Wind.  For every 2 increments of his size,
he takes 1 wound (and the appropriate amount of wind).
