Sure you can. It's costs 3x the new value to raise a die type of a stat.
3x10=30 to go from a d8 to a d10, 3x12=36 to go from d10 to d12 and
3x[12+2]=42 to go from d12 to d12+2.

After d12's you can raise stats to d12+2, d12+4, etc. by paying 3x the new
level (with the 12 and the +2 added together).
