I think it's just worth pointing out that another feather in Junkyard's cap
is that they produce far more spook juice than Sacramento (very special
mention is made of this fact in both Iron Oasis and Shattered Coast), making
Junkyard a popular stop for anybody with a motor vehicle, which in turn
brings lots of trade and salvage through Junkyard's gates.  Road convoys are
one of the few things that connect settlements in Hell on Earth, and when
all the convoys are attracted to one spot, that place can make quite a name
for itself.
