[HOE] Possible Food Preservative Plot Nugget
Hey Gang -
I was just chattin' with Doc Firefly about food preservatives, and the
possibility of them being considered a form of chemical pollution when
something stupid-funny (but possibly usable for the right Marshal) hit
me. Are y'all familiar with the Urban Legend regarding the food
preservative "sodium erythorbate" actually being a filler made from
ground up earthworm (check your Slim Jim or Hot Dog wrappers for
example)? What if some twisted little servitor or worm cult leader with
a pre-war snack food company tie-in actually used some sort of Mojave
Rattler by-product as said ingredient, calling it (of course) "sodium
erythorbate" and it somehow acted as a way of assisting in the
transformation/production of wormlings? If you don't know what I'm
talking about, check here:

There's always the other Legend about McDonald's using worm for a filler
that could be just as applicable for the situation. Check this Urban
Legends page and search for "earthworms" using their engine for details:

Discuss (or don't). Just tossin' around some nonsense. :-)
