Right, Sykers use knowledge to get their groove on. The manitou has access
to the syker's thoughts and memories so it can use the syker's blastin'.
But a Doomie uses his spirit, his soul, to do his thing. And that's the
one thing that the manitou has no control over (hence that whole dominion
thing).
The fact that the Doomie uses spirit is an indication that it's more than
just "doing what's taught", there has to be some, well, faith there. And
faith is just something that manitous don't have.
