Matt went on vacation for three weeks.  But, if it isn't already
moot, the average open-ended damage roll on one d-sided die is
E(d) = d(d+1)/2(d-1), which is strictly increasing for d >= 3.
E(12) = 7 1/11, E(20) = 11 1/19.  If we're going to hurl dice at each
other, I'll throw the d20's.
