It's all the same, as long as your character's heart is in the right place, one old character of mine had a harrowed wolf and a harrowed girlfriend before getting harrowed hisself. If the characters are close to their pets, I see no reason why a little thing like death should come between them, if only i was lucky enough to have my dogs return to life after a couple days, I never want to see them go.
