RE: [HOE] Unity Question

(I don't think I'm mentioning anything spoiler-like, but just in case.)

As a Weird West marshal with all the green books too, I can say that I
plan on running the Unity. Obviously not very soon, seeing as my posse
is a couple centuries away in the time line. But, I have grand plans to
do some personal Weird West stuff, some published Weird West stuff,
culminating in the Devils Tower. I'm guessing my group would go thru
the door, making them my official HOE posse. More personal and
published stuff culiminating in Unity.

I very much liked the Unity book. It's a kick butt story. Reading some
of the nay-sayer posts I find my view changing a bit. Not that I don't
like it anymore, but there are some tweaks I'll make to include the
posse more. Mostly adding a few side-missions in the same vein as the
SAM site strike. But mostly the book accomplishes its goals: Have a
huge meta-plot wrapping-up and huge war without totally leaving the
posse out. Hard things to do. The issues with the Unity being less
than fleshed out shouldn't impact much right away. Have sinister sounds
coming from side passages so that the posse picks the "right" direction
themselves if you must. There's a goal to be had at this point and the
rest of the ship is just side-track-city. Hopefully something official
will expand Unity soon, since that's pretty much where a Lost Colony
campaign might start. The Unity could be detailed in the Lost Colony
book, or in Epitaph 4. But my posse would definitly investigate the
rest of the ship once they recover from the trip. Then you've gotta
know what's there.
