couple of the HOE fan sites, and there are a few fan created spells out
there. But what about Edges & Hindrances solely for witches? Heck, how about
a backlash table or something similar? I've got a Witch in my posse, and
there ain't a whole lot for her officially after she's learned all the
spells in The Wasted West book (unless there's something in an Epitaph issue
I'm missing). So let's do something about it. To get the ball rolling,
here's a new edge I've been tinkering with. Feedback would be most
appreciated.
Silver Bullet 5
Many edges in folklore could only be killed by a weapon made of silver. Your
witch seems to have inherited some of this immunity. Any weapon not made of
silver which hits the witch does one die type less, as if the witch had one
level of Armor. Additionally, if your witch is ever killed by anything other
than a silver weapon, the Marshal draws additional cards equal to the
witch's level in Witchcraft to determine if she comes back Harrowed.<<
Actually, Witches are fine as they are, though that is a nice Edge. The only thing they really need is a greater spell selection. To that end, I'd recommend investing in the Hexarcana sourcebook and check out the Voodoo spells. Most of them require material components to cast. Just let your Witch (when/if she ever finds those other "Serve Your Man" books, take those spells as Witch spells.
