[HOE] d20, guns and Star Wars

Well with the movie coming out and everyone talking about how to "fix"
guns in d20, I was wondering: Has anyone played the new Star Wars d20 RPG?

I was wondering how they handle blasters and light-sabers in that game
that can basically insta-kill most people. Or are storm troopers just the
kobolds of the star wars universe?
