Actually more when you think of the different prestige classes in the 
revised edition

Actually this has been changed with the new revised edition that just came 
out.  The do get it at first level

to practical a minature combat game in the new edition

I'd suggest looking at the new revised edition Sean.  They made some pretty 
good changes to the game,  Of course the fact that they put out a revised 
edition in less then two years and wanting 40 bucks for it,  is just WOTC 
way of saying they love you(or money) :)
