BURR OAK, KANSAS- a roaming gunslinger going by the name of Herrod is
reporting a bizarre occurrence sighted on the Kansas plains. For twenty
miles in either side of the old Mason/Dixon border walkin’ dead are starting
to appear in groups larger than ten. They appear to be forming rough ranks
on either side of the wall and standing at attention. The phenomenon has
been ongoing for nearly eight days.

FORTRESS OLYMPIA, WASHINGTON- the heavily armed inhabitants of Olympia are
reporting the arrival of a heavily wounded messenger from the village of
Pistol River in Oregon. The victim was suffering from exhaustion but has
stabilized with some Schismatic Doomsayer medical attention. Pistol River is
under siege by a force of bizarre hybrid creatures. They appear to me a
mutated mix of spider and centipede that stand four feet off the ground and
have been spotted as large as thirty feet in length. The creatures have
potent venom and some victims have developed mutations after being bitten.
Denizens of Fortress Olympia have agreed to donate weapons and food and are
now looking for relief workers as well as caravan guards.
