It's a no-no beause G-rays are not really a power source in the manner we
understand it. They're more like a short term conduit into the spiritual
ralm in which reality takes a backseat to one's perceptions and will
providing the impetus for device that really shouldn't work to ignore the
laws of reality and do whatever it's designers wants it to damn well do.
Of course how that power is gained varies based upon current perceptions of
what is and is not possible which is why burnin ghost rock and playing poker
with demons works in 1863 while Frying your hair out and using a weird
turbine ,battery assembly is used in 2094.
So trying to power a regular device by G-rays is like trying to run a car
engine with uranium and a desperate will to go somewhere.
I tried to coin a phrase like Thaumaturgically induced delusional physics
but that's not really what's happening at all...I think

Or this is at least how I've tried to explain it both to my fellow players
and in character.
