Re: [HOE] Saint Jack
Whoa, whoah. Hold on a minute, pedro. I'd think this over. Remember, many
anti-templars don't realize that what they're doing is wrong. I'd think the
better idea would be to have saints that, to the anti-templars at least,
seemed to be on the right but had a really bad dark side(i.e. they helped
the reckoners.). somethin' like...
Andrew Jackson, saint of fortitude(not the edge, dingbats!)
Andrew Jackson was a popular general, and after the civil war became
president of the confederate states of america. As a general, he led
multiple charges against the servants of the reckoners, and as a president
knew of the dangers of the reckoning and actually took the reins of the
texas rangers for a short while. Stonewall jackson appears to anti-templars
who not only stand their ground, but lead their warband to do the same.
then
comes
the
bad
part
for
marshals
only
Of course, not many people think of andrew jackson's darker side--he hated
the natives. it was, of course, jackson who ordered the trail of tears as
part of a deal with the reckoners. the deal was, the reckoners would "call
off the dogs" on the citizens of the CSA if he could cause incredible fear
among the indians. he did this very well, though of course the reckoners
welched on the deal.
Chip powers:
White:The anti-templar gets a bonus of +5 to his leadership rolls for a
round.
Red:In a mano-e-mano duel, your character may add a +6 to his shootin' roll.
Jackson isn't lettin' that happen again.
Blue:Using classic redirection, the anti-templar can cause a creature of the
reckoning to stop attacking you or your friend and cause them to attack
someone else--a random townsperson, a deer, a black hat, anything that isn't
another creature of the reckoning. once they finish off their new foe, the
beast's likely to come back for more though.
Legend:The anti-templar and his posse become an almost literal stonewall!
their movement is cut down to the pace of the slowest member, and they must
march in a row with each other, but they get an AV of 4! though dodging is
out of the question, 4 av will stop a lot of bullets. this lasts until the
end of the encounter(marshall's discresion)
