[HOE] Calling the Dukes and Duchesses of EVIL! or, help my posse fix themselves

One of my posse members... and a core member, who's gotten a lot of
face time, is a Templar with a long-term goal of reuniting with her
sister & mother. Oh, if any of my posse has joined the mailing list,
please don't read this.

She recently discovered and grabbed a relic the posse discovered, a
possessed car that had a spirit that wanted to help it's chosen owner
receive vengeance for any lost loved ones. To be honest, I didn't
figure the Templar would grab this... She's only a few steps away from
being a savage, having been born long enough before the war to remember
some things and not fear high tech gear, but not much else.

But she did. The Templar's player actually came to me with the problems
she is concerned about, so while I want something interesting, she
shouldn't be too hosed. Basically, she's concerned that her character
has become a bit too overzealous for her personal goal, and is an
obnoxious bitch.

So we're looking at solutions. It's nice that she's bringing this up to
me, so she deserves something, and I do want to get my game back on
target. The posse is leaving Junkyard soon, and they've decided to
head to Boise to take care of some other business, as well as follow up
one lead on the sister.

Suggestions here are very welcome. I've got a few ideas, and I'll
detail my plan below, but I'm looking for more.

My idea hinges on the fact that the car is amplifying her attitude
badly. It adds a nice mix of Heroic and Vengeful. I'm going to take
care of both the car (which gives her freedom to go off on her own, and
incentive to do so) in one fell swoop if I can...

The posse is getting ready to leave Junkyard for Boise. While they've
ticked him off, Judge Tolliver will reward them with an updated bit of
info about the Templar's sister: She doubled back, ripped off the woman
she was staying with while in town, and was rumored to be heading north
looking for some mercenaries she had agreed to hire as bodyguards. When
the posse tries to hunt her down, they find a burned out farm house and
the sign of a recent fight. they're going to stop at a burned out house
and deal with some nasties I've already planned, including a Hangin'
Judge (a more modern version with certain biker touches, but still just
as bad) and a 'glom formed from the bodies of the mercenaries who the
judge killed the night before. The only minor bit of help is that a
nearly dead (and beyond healing) Law Dog is on the scene, and will
donate his old six shooters and mention that a group of the mercs left
with a captured girl and his former partner. After they get this
information, that's when the judge shows up.

So when the situation goes FUBAR with the judge, they take it down (for
a night) and the next day, get into a nice Mad Max style chase scene
involving the mercs in their death-mobiles, with a good reason to jump
from car to car to try and save the sister. If it goes too late, a
hangin' judge on a fast motorcycle will show up. The partner, it'll
turn out, is both the mother they've been searching for and the
possessor of another gun that can keep the judge away for a night.

Then, when the group gets to boise, thelaw is, IMHO, the Templars
themselves, so they can actually put this judge down permanently.

So, any suggestions, flaw, tweaks, ideas, simplfications, etc?
