[HOE] Burst Radius/Damage question

Ok, that should be enough for a full screen pop up.
Ok, I had a small glitch when I ran the Boise Horror (Part 4).
Anyone who has ran anything with Automatons know that they do HUGE amounts
of damage when they blow. However, I did the normal damage stats and well,
I crapped out. Total of 8 pts in the primary burst radius. Now, I wanted
to multiply by 20 just to make it deadly however, being the small confines
of the building, that would have completely taken out possibly 2 floors if
not more. I know that the Combine isn't kind but I just figure this puppy
reliability wasn't good. They did smuggle it in. However, this raises the
questions that I know have been asked before:
1)If you do come up wimpy on the first radius, should the explosion be worse
in the secondary?
2)Is it easier to just do math per blast radius than actually rolling the
dice seeing that wierd stuff seems to happen as you go further out? Example
4d20 but the next radius is 4d12 which is 3/5 (or 60% damage). Continue as
needed.
