[HOE] Funny Three Ways...

Well... I mentioned J.C. Wales the other day, and forgot another of his
funny incidents. The character is a fairly low-powered one made for when
only his Player shows up, bored, and demands a game. He isn't too picky on
stuff, so he doesn't mind if it somewhat sucks, as long as the body count is
high, the explosions are numerous, and good wins in the end.

I'm trying to cure him of the third bit. So far, he's beaten me every
time... Lucky SOB!!!

Well, anyhow, he and another fellow, by the name of Guido, were
investigating a Golf Course inside a "Slightly Looted" Gated Community, and
found it to be operational!!! Golf carts zipped around, balls were struck
towards holes, people tended the greens, and a poor SOB was driving around
in an armoured Golf Cart on the Driving Range collecting balls.

After entering through the functional gates (The person on the other side of
the intercom stated that it was a Members Only Club. Using, of all things,
his RCMP Badge, "Official Police Business, Open Up!!!", he got in.), and
going into the main building, they find a receptionist, and an arguement
ensues (She disbelieves that it's been 13 years!!!). After realizing that
she let in an Enemy Of The State (They are in the North, as in USA, which
was at war with Canada), she calls for the Ground's Lawyer.

Now, those of you who know me, or even know Deadlands, can probably guess
that she's Harrowed, and that she's called upon an "Unholy Host" of sorts,
and they are now coming to help.

The first Zombie, attacked, of course, the head of J.C., only to be blocked
by his armoured right arm. He then declaired (Funny part comes soon, I
promise!), "I quickdraw my left gun, point it RIGHT at his head!!! 'Jury's
Out On This Case!!!'".

Now, here is how it's funny three ways:

1. He was saying this to an undead Lawyer.

2. His pistol? An Hellstromme Industries Jury!

3. The Player is currently pulling Jury Duty, IRL!!! (He hasn't been
sequestered yet, so he can socialize, as long as he doesn't talk about the
trial.).

There, funny part over. Maybe it was a "You Had To Be There" bit, but what
the heck, I found it funny!

Ray.

PS: He ended up killing the Receptionist, restoring the grounds to it's
dilapitated original, and saving Guido, who had his head beaten in by a 3
Wood weilding Walking Dead Pro Shop Attendant. Guido will make a full
recovery, but will always from now on, dislike Golf!!!
