I seem to recall reading somewhere that they are indeed cap and ball 
pistols, the very ones he used when he was alive, but that Stone's don't 
require him to reload them (ever).  They just do so automatically (possibly 
each time he draws or holsters them, I forget).

It might seem like an inferior weapon for such a nasty bad guy, but then 
again...  how many times is Stone likely to have to shoot at the same posse?

I beleive it's been written as both. I think the Weird West marshals
guide lists them as Dragoons but Lone Stars lists them as Armys. i'd say
armys. The picture sure looks like Dragoons, and if it was it better be
amodified version. Standard Dragoons are Cap & Ball. and all that ammo on
his belt would got to waste. (Not tjhat he ever NEEDS to reload his gun)
