[HOE] starting a Templar branch on Banshee
We're in the middle of The Unity, so spoilers likely follow.
SPOILER
SPACE
Once the characters have found out that they're going to Banshee, they used
the Stuart to radio Boise. Victor, the posse's head Templar (his
until-recently-former Apprentice went with him to defend Junkyard, and as
such is the rare second Templar in the posse), asked Jo for permission to
start a new branch of the Templars on Banshee. She said that if he can
figure out how to be able to bless new Templars, he should go for it.
Now, here's the sticky bit. I figure I shouldn't put it out of his reach,
though neither should I make it a walk in the park. In the wake of The Boise
Horror, has Simon become a Saint? I mean, Aaron McConnell became a Saint in
The Destroyer and he was Simon's first recruit. Therefore, if Simon hasn't
officially become a Saint, I'd imagine he damn well oughtta be and that his
Blessing would likely be the ability to knight new Templars. He'd probably
have only appeared to Jo. I ask you all, then, these questions:
1) Is Simon officially a Saint?
2) If so what are his stats (powers, deed, and vexation)?
3) If he's not officially a Saint, what should his stats be? I'm thinking
something like demonstrating a rock-solid mind for leadership and
willingness to do what's both right and necessary- in essence, embodying the
very essence of the Order.
4) If Simon is a Saint and his Blessing doesn't involve knighting new
Templars, how should that ability be gained?
As an amusing side note, the player was also running our Huckster because
that player had homework to do, and I swear Adam (not the one on this list)
shuffles like he sold his soul. Casting Soul Blast less than ten times he
drew THREE royal flushes. One involved the Red Joker but the other two were
both natural AND the same suit. He wasn't using a marked deck or anything-
we only use my decks- and I watched him shuffle most of the time. The
Huckster has three levels in Luck O' the Draw (he's Harrowed), and once that
made the difference, but still, DAMN was that amazing. He also pulled off a
Jokerless Dead Man's Hand when fighting the Voracipedes to save Jenny Quaid.
