Re: [HOE] Buildin' Borgs

I beleive it the junker couple mentioned in Cyborgs, the only living two in Deus Ex Machina, that they've provided harrowed with cyborg parts before, but the trick is they are junker made parts and suffer instability. I recall one example of them borging up an old time harrowed (at least a hundred years dead) and she came back later after one of her junker made parts went poof and had them take it all out, even the cyber eye that replaced the eye she lost way back when she was living.

as someone mentioned prewar gear is hard to come by. i don't think new borgs would have to worry about AI, but that's one of the balancimng factors of Borgs. Having a borg made completly by a junker may make up the difference if the borg always has to worry about his cyber eye turning back into the junk components the junker used in the first place.

Hi all!

My posse just made the transition from Weird to Wasted West (finally!), and
a couple of the Harrowed are already eyeballin' the Cyborg goodies. Ok,
all of the Harrowed are. But there's one little bit of info I can't find
in any of the books; what's it take to become a borg in play? Starting
out, fine, it gives the guidelines. But assuming they can even find
someone to do the operation, what will it cost and what's the minimum to
install? Can you be a 'borg without an AI?

Thanks,

Aaron
