Nope, not a templar. He's played a templar before, but this character was not among that group. I would certainly say that he has a healthy and well-developed sense of self-preservation, although he's not above heroics, or else he wouldn't even be there. I feel like it was good roleplaying for that character because it fit his personality. Besides, it certainly made an impression on everyone in my group, as we were all talking about it weeks later.

Although I do have to admit that this player is capable of being a munchkin from time to time.

I wouldn't call him a munchkin for exercising a healthy and well developed
sense of self-preservation in his character.

Now if the same player had offered up the lives of one or more of his
equipment bearers, then yeah.  He would deserve the munchkin label.

In all reality not many people are that selfless enough to let themselves
be murdered for the good of humanity.  Especially in a Post-Apocalyptical
world.

Then again, if the character was a Templar the player is just a bad RPer.
