[pbmserv-dev] Goo
With all the talk about Go, I thought I should bring up another game which
is called (for obvious reasons) Goo.
Goo is like Go, except on his turn a play places two stones. After both
stones are placed, deaths are determined. To survive, a dragon needs three
eyes. Note that you cannot place one stone, remove enemy stones, and place
the second stone in captured space. You can place one and pass the
other. Ko is the act of exactly reversing the previous move. This game
has more of a use for a super ko rule, but I would rather leave it
out. There are stalemates in Go, there are more in Goo, but there are even
more in Chess. In Goo (like Go) a player with a winning position can
usually break out of the loop.
Other possible games: Gooo, Goooo, and Gooooo. I think it should be
pretty easy to implement this one on top of the existing Go engine.
