no, I didn't ask for permission for Settlers of Catan, guess I am just too
lazy.  :-)  (anyways, that and many other games I wrote are "lost"; they were
on my previous ISP, Solaria, and that is no longer in exsistance.  I even had
written a universal Amazons program with options for board size, shape,
hexagonal boards, number of amazons and starting locations, I was testing it
when Solaria went dead.  :-(  I remember I was working on at least a dozen
games in various stages... all gone now.  :-(

(Concerning writing programs without permission... I recently did Diam for the
server without getting permission but I'm kinda feeling that that is wrong.  We
should always get permission first, before putting a game on the server.  We do
not want to place Richard in a bad situation facing lawsuits or court actions. 
We got a good thing going here and I'd hate for something drastic to happen to
it.)
