This is a deduction game along the lines of Clue,
Mystery of the Abbey, Sleuth with no board.
I have not started the process of trying to contact
the publisher (or much of anything else) except
starting to think about how it would be laid out. I
just wanted to get a consensus as to whether people
thought this would play well by email and if there was
some level of interest.
Any thoughts about rules that might take adaptation,
or the best way to display etc. welcome. One thing I
was considering was letting each player keep "notes"
in a free form manner. These would essetially be
echoed back with the board.
Any games that I may not know about that use similar
mechanisms appreciated. For example, in the base
ruleset the turn order is determined by the last play
(I ask Player Y a question and then PLayer Y gets to
ask a question...). Also accusations are asynchronous
which is good because it is not determined when your
turn would come about.
That might be an issue. If I were in an unpopular
timezone there might be a flurry of activity before I
got a chance to play!
Cheers,
Lyman
