E-*MIND!!!



Dear PBEM friends, 

the 1st e-*MIND is finished and Bernhard is the winner. 


If you are interested in some particulars, you can find some informations

(only the Abalone tournament is really updated in the tournament list). 


The first e-*MIND was divided in 2 competitions: 

-) The main one: e-DECAmind
-) The secondary: e-PENTAmind 


There were 16 e-mail tournament and to play the competition was necessary 
to play at least 10.

If you would like to join the next edition, the tournament will be managed 
with a different formula: 

1) The main competition: e-EPTAmind (= best of 7 tournaments)
2) The secondary one: e-TRImind (= best of 3 tournaments) 


There will be 10-12 tournament and you have to join at least 7. 


8 tournament are already decided: 

Abalone (-bowls option) 
Backgammon 
LOA 
Rothello 
Pente 
Trax 
Twixt 
Wari 

The others 2-4 will be decided with a vote by joint players (candidates: 
amazons, ataxx, darkchess, go, gravity, hex, maxcheckers, neutron, or 
others...). 


The tournament will start in september (first step: september2001 - 
january 2002; second step: february 2002 - may 2002). 


You have to join before 31.08.2001 to partecipate. In the first 2 weeks of 
september we will fix togheter all the necessary and in the second 2 weeks 
of september, the e-*MIND starts. 


A mail list will be managed to keep in touch all players and Tournament 
Director on yahoogroups. 


Thanks to Richard's PBEM server and Mind Sport Olympiads to have supported 
the first edition.
