 no this is not the case with backgammon.  The dice are rolled and who-ever
rolled the higher dice goes first, so Eks may go first or Ohs.
I just sent in a patch to Richard to allow the "-force" option.  This will
allow the first name on the challenge line to always go first no matter
what the roll of the dice was.   Enjoy!  :-)
 (do we want this option in all the gammon games?  including hg,ng,Plakoto,
  moultezim, Grandgammon, deadgammon,...?)
