David,

I use the following recipe and my dogs go crazy over it:
You can buy the sliced liver or have a butcher cut it into chunks for you.
I use the sliced it is just easier.

Boil water with some fresh chopped garlic and put the liver into it until it
turns a brownish gray color.

Take it out and let it cool (it makes it easier to cut). Cut it up into
pieces that you feel will be easy for you to handle. Place them on a
cookie sheet. Sprinkle allot of garlic powder (do not use garlic salt)
then take white vinegar and pour onto liver pieces - be generous but don't
let the pieces go swimming in it.

Bake on 350 until the pieces turn deep brown and are quite hard - usually
between 5 - 10 minutes. Store in frig - but these will travel well
because the vinegar is not only appetizing to the dogs but serves as a
preservative.

Let me know if you use it and how it works.

Take care,
