As far as guarding......my dogs act just like Powder. People are a "good thing" that 
mean they get petted. Trying to haul my 5 yr old male away from little kids at PetsMart 
is like trying to move a mountain. He loves them! Mine *will bark when people pull up 
in the driveway, and so far that seems to scare visitors more than enough. Their size 
alone is a deterrent for most people.
