[PyrNet-L] CHAT, CARE, HEALTH, BEHAVIOR: Update on Mary

   Many of you know Mary Staudinger (PYR4@aol.com) from the pyr lists and also
from chatting in our private Great Pyrenees Chat Room that Mary & I co-host on
AOL. Mary was admitted to the hospital yesterday and had major surgery today.
She has been really struggling with some chronic health problems for months
and battled cancer for years. She asked me to keep people informed of her
condition. Unfortunately the information I have is sketchy now.  She is still
out from the anesthesia and asleep at what is 8:30pm her time in Oklahoma. I
did talk to the nurse and told him I didn't want to disturb her and the other
woman in her room when they should both be resting. He said that he was trying
not to bother her himself much and trying to let her just get as much sleep as
possible.  She is "Stable" in hospital jargon. She will be told that I called
a couple times to see how she is when she awakens. I asked when was a good
time tomorrow to call and he said 7:30am Central Time. So I will try to arise
early at  5:30am here and call and check on her. (Knowing me I'll probably
still be awake then anyway.)  I'll keep you posted. Let's keep her in our
thoughts.  Sure her Pyr Shyllo is missing is favorite lap, too!! I'm a prayin'
and a-pullin' for her! And missing her on-line presence already! She's a
special friend!  She's fought cancer for years and is a survivor.  This is
another health battle but she'll pull through this one, too, I'm sure! Just
wish I were there to help more!  
   You can e-mail her at PYR4@aol.com, but she won't see it for 5 days to a
week. If you send well-wishes my way, I'll read them to her over the phone
every day when we talk! So you may want to forward a copy to me if you want me
to read it to her sooner. Or just e-mail me that you want me to tell her you
send best wishes. It always helps to  know people care.
