Re: [PyrNet-L] Adding to my life

Tom,

On this list there are a couple of responsible breeders, and I would pay close
attention to what they have to say. Please NO NOT buy a puppy from an ad in
any newspaper or in the back of any dog magazine. These ads look fancy, but
does not mean diddley.

If you choose the puppy route, you can not begin to understand the importance
of a breeder who has spent years researching, studying, and living this breed.
I am a rescue worker, and try to encourage people to consider a "recycled"
dog, as you can bond just as well, have a known temperament, quite often you
DO know the history because the dog comes from an owner surrender, and there
are hundreds each year going through the system in most states.

Just listen to the excellent advice from this list and know that they will
support and guide you along the way as a Pyr owner.
