[PyrNet-L] Mighty Texas Dog Walk



On Saturday, February 20, 1999, at the Texas State Capitol,  
Austin, TX,  there will be a 3-mile walk sponsored by Texas 
Hearing and Service Dogs.  They will be attempting to break the 
Guiness Book of World Records for Most Dogs Walked - 2,300.  
Their goal is 3,000 people walking dogs!  Contact

Information from the entry form.  Entry fee $15/person if 
postmarked by February 14th........$18 February 15th to walk day. 

Rules and logistics:

1. Each walker and dog must log in at the start and finish points of 
the walk.  
2. All dogs must be kept on a leash of reasonable length at all 
times.
3. Only one dog must be walked per person.
4. THSD will supply doggy food treats and waste bags for each 
walker to carry, as required by Guinness rules.  
5. THSD will supply waste bins for disposal of food treat and waste 
bags.
6. Walkers may pick up their packets at Run Tex, 422 W. 
Riverside Drive, Austin, TX 78704 (512) 472-3254 at any time on 
Feb. 18 and 19; on Feb. 20 (walk day) from 8:30 am to 9:45 am.  
7. Vets will be on site during the Walk.
