Re: [PyrNet-L] Destructive chewing

Lyn, It does sound like attention getting, and just an active mind
looking for something to do. Almost something to tease you with, " like,
Ha-ha, look what I have now "!

With our four, they seem to be always looking for something to tease each
other with, and will walk back and forth in front of the other dogs with
it dangling out of their mouths, till they get the required attention.
Of course, often it is the humans who catch them at it, and take the
object away, thus ending the game. We get a dirty " no fair" kind of
look shot at our backs!

It is possible, with the sitter, he wouldn't do this, because she would
be new, and taking his attention. Could you maybe have her come over for
a few hours before you actually go on your trip, and see how he reacts
with her? It would help you decide what to do in the end. Remember,
most kids do not act up with other people like they do with their
parents. Pyrs. are just 100 + lb. kids!

Bridger sounds like a wonderful boy, with a marvelous brain, and sense of
humor, not a real trouble maker. I hate to see him boarded, if he can be
delt with safely at home. Or is she just coming in to feed and visit,
and then leave. In that case you might have to board him for his own
safety!

Good Luck! Cindy.
