[PyrNet-L] puppy mills and another pyr sighting

Two things:

If you live in New England and want to do something to shut down puppy mills,
now is the time to strike while the iron is hot!

Last week there was an investigative report on Fox news about puppy traders in
N.E. buying puppies from mills in the midwest and then selling them to
unsuspecting owners here in massachusetts.  anyway, the reporter found out that
there is very little a state can do because it involves interstate commerce
which is regulated at the federal level.  the report went on to say there is
movement at the national level to legislate interstate selling of puppies.

If you are against this practice, call your local congressperson and speak out
against the trafficking of puppies and you support legislation that would
regulate this practice.  use the following web site to find your

On a lighter note, I believe there are pyr puppies on the cover of Puppies
Quarterly, available at Petco and other fine pet
stores.
