The sheer joy of living these dogs exhibit is one of their greatest
qualities, I think. Especially when I come down in the morning with sweats
on (i.e., "going for a walk" clothes), Paddington goes into his lippizaner
"airs above the ground" leaps, and Ivy, after an initial hug, goes into a
tail-chasing spin, mad dashes up and down the living room, then wrestling
with Paddington. The manager at the kennel where we leave them for
vacation time says she has never seen happier dogs! I can well imagine,
Judith, how much life yours brings to your Dad.
