Just noticed the discrepancy between the figures I posted and these ones.

I think the discrepancy is because in his book Coren groups a number of dog
breeds under several of the rankings eg Akita is ranked equal 54th with the
Boston Terrier.  Perhaps he has changed this for later editions/studies.
The book I have was published in 1994. :-/
