[PyrNet-L] TRAINING: Obedience Clubs

Hi Gypsy,
One way to locate obedience training clubs is to check the local newspapers
for their ads. Some training clubs require an individual to take a
beginners' class before they offer membership. Of course, if you've been
a member of another training club, that requirement can be waived. But
most clubs advertise their beginner & advanced training classes in the
newspaper usually in the pet section. You could also contact the
American Kennel Club and ask for the names of training clubs in your
area--alot of training clubs are AKC member clubs. Do you have any
aquaintances/friends that have taken their pets through classes? If so,
they could probably give you a name to contact. Or, you could try the
local kennel club in your area, too. Sometimes kennel clubs have alot of
obedience people and may even offer obedience classes and advertise in the
newspaper. Good luck and happy hunting.

Subject: [PyrNet-L] obedience clubs

My 7 month old pyr and I are interested in joining an obedience club in New
York. We live in New York, on Long Island, and I'd prefer a club located
somewhere in Suffolk County. Does anyone have any suggestions?
