Re: [PyrNet-L] puppy schedule

when we first crate trained our pup we started with just putting her in
there for a few seconds, 4-5 times a day & always giving her a treat once in
the crate, and praising her. Then after a few days of doing that we moved up
to having her in there for 5 min. 4-5 times a day. And still rewarding her
with treats & praise. We gradually progressed from 10 min etc..& up, while
she was in the crate we would leave the room so she couldn't see us & get
used to it. We rarely use the crate anymore because she's very good about
not chewing up anything provided we've left her some toys etc..to keep her
active little mind occupied while we're gone. *S* Hope this helps.
