It seems to me that this breed of dog, more so than others, has selective hearing.
 They hear just what they want to and they also chose to respond to what they
want to.  Cotten is now 8 1/2 months old you can be 10 feet from her call her
by name and it is if you never made a sound.  She just looks at you, it is really
more like she looks thru you, as if to say "are you speaking to me."  If you
take a step towards her she just moves away.  Eventuly, when she is ready and
not before, she will come to me.  Have found that training treats work a little
but not really worth it.
Guess should have done her like I did our Great Dane and put a long rope on
her and pull her to me when I call her.  May be too old now.
