Penn Hip was developed at the Univ. of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. A
scientific measurement of joint laxity is taken from the xray and you
receive a rating based on this measurement. Your dog's measurements are also
added to the each breed's database so statistical analysis can be done to
determine if the breed is improving or not. Penn Hip can be done as early as
4 months, but they recommend waiting until 6 months.
