[PyrNet-L] Off subject, Homer

I saw Homer the other night on TV Marci. He's a big lad. No he's not near
us, same Island and on the East Coast but about an 8 hour trip away. Am sure
if he was any closer you know who would go visit and probably call him
Horace!! Elephant Seals spend quite a bit of time on dry land in NZ and
create havoc. Last year one came upstream into a Famer's paddock and created
havoc with the cows. They can be aggressive especially during mating time!!
About half an hour from here is a seal colony and "Homers" can be seen
sunning themselves there. They always create a stir when they move into a
city like Gisborne and sometimes they have to be "taken" back out to sea.
Some come back to the same place year after year. Long time ago there was
one in Wellington called Blossom. She was a strapping great girl!!
