Personally, I think you are pushing your little girl too much.  It's quite 
different when they are "out for a walk" and when they are permitted to 
exercise freely.  At liberty, pups will dash about madly, then suddenly rest. 
 When on a 2 - 3 mile walk, they can't do that.  Also, you mentioned that you 
are above 9000 ft.  This should also be taken into consideration.  Remember, 
you have a baby there, even though she's big.
