Re: [pyrnet] kids v pets

Hey Jan,

I think my dogs' noses give the illusion of needing less wiping ... because
they've got a sly way of wiping them on me while disguising it as a cuddle.
Especially that Badger; you always know what he's had for dinner by looking
at my shirt! It's said that you'll always find pyr hair on pyr people.
Well the same goes for cat owners. We've got this ritual that we refer to
as the "Kitty Tango." The Kitty Tango is a series of intricate steps
whereby you move about the kitchen in the morning, already dressed for work
in your dark slacks or skirt, making coffee, packing lunches, and avoiding
having the cat rub on your legs. One step involves feigning a lunge to
scare the cat away. She backs off, sits waiting patiently until your
attention is elsewhere, and then moves in for the kill! On days that she's
exceptionally determined, the Kitty Tango is quite a number; puts the
dancing in "Cats" to shame.

Does anyone else wash their pyr's faces before taking them out? Isn't it
just like having little kids? My two get their faces washed, gunk wiped out
of their eyes, dried drool brushed from their chests, etc. We never go too
far without a drool rag either. One of these days I'll slip and tell one of
them not to put "X" in their mouths because they don't know where it's been!

But back to kids ... I've got a million. Like the one about my nephew in
the home improvement store ...

Kim
