What great news about Molly. Just shows
never give up as long as there is hope. I hope she continues to
improve.
As for Izoure I believe that she too has degenerative
myelopathy allthough it has not been diagnosed, but the symptoms seems to
indicate it, loss of strengh in hind legs, inability to lift the tail,
difficulties with pooping ( has to do it walking - and not just a few
steps). I don't think the end is just round the corner, but things can
chance fast with an old dog. The other day I was a bit down because for the
first time, she had pooped in the house, and not intentionally, she just dropped
a few pieces while pacing around waiting for her walk, I don't think she even
noticed it herself, and that seemed to me a step down. But when I hear about
Molly's problems and poor Arthur with an inoperable tumour, I know I can't
complain. At least izoure still enjoy a good walk - up to a couple of miles -
and sometimes try to play with the other dogs.
The gentle massage and small exercises might be a good
idea, I will try that, even if it does not help, it can't hurt, and she will
sure enjoy the extra attention.
