[pyrnet] something to think about??

Been away for a few days at shows and came home last night with a Pyr friend
who had a good look through all the Pyr bits here including the many photos
etc over the years. She made me think when she said "what if you kark it
Janella (an antipodean expression for leaving this world for the next one!)
and no one knows who these Pyrs are in the photos". Fair comment I thought
so gave her a black felt pen and said the names while she wrote them on back
of photos. I recall 3 years ago at a family gathering (funeral) all the
old photo albums came out and my 82 year old Mother was (is) the only one
left who knew all the names from the last century so she said them and we
wrote them on the back of photos. Along with the writing came a running
commentary on who was in photos, where the photo was taken, who had "karked"
it, etc etc but at least we've left something for the next generation.
They wont have the running commentary we had and all the memories that she
has . I think it gave my Mother a shock to realise that she had all this
information in that old head and was the only one left ( in New Zealand) so
she went home and put names, dates etc on all her own photos.

Thanks Lavina for doing that for me, I am very sorry I tried to poison your
child with those lovely Pyr "choccies" Kerry sent. I honestly didn't know
they were soaps, I honestly didn't!!
