Re: [pyrnet] knitting with pyr hair?
Sandy, I have sent Pyr. hair off in the past. Seems like I have heard
lovely stories on this list about someone making Pyr. hair caps that were
especially well received by cancer patients after Chemo treatments. Made
from the soft downy undercoat. I have another bag being collected right
now for the one that Barb mentioned. I think it is a wonderful way to
use all that undercoat that we Pyr. owners spend time brushing out.
I must admit, when I mailed out my box it was almost round. I had put
the hair in a bag as directed and sucked all the air out. I put it in a
box, maybe 10x10". I suspect the bag started to take in air, and as the
hair started to expand again, the box was bulging with dramatic flair! I
kept hoping it didn't explode along the way with Pyr. hair going
everywhere! With four of them ( then ), there was a lot of hair packed!
