RE: [pyrnet] choosing a show puppy

Joe,

When I read what you said about the females being huge at 30 inches, I
remembered that my husband recently measured Nikita, who is now 15 months
old, and it was 30 inches. I just measured her again, and paid particular
attention to what you said about measuring, and she is definitely 30 inches!
She definitely dwarfs our male! I got worried that he was shrinking, and
then I realized it was just that she was growing my leaps and bounds!

Barbs right. Also only measure to the highest point and do not measure any
distance from the side of the shoulder to the middle of the back (spine).
You can lay a rule, level, across the withers and measure from the floor to
the rule or best is use a wicket, which few of us keep around. 30 inches at
the shoulders for a bitch is huge, almost unheard of, so check your
measurements again.
