Katie, I would go ahead and keep insisting he come in at night.  Probably
a lot better for him as a whole, does you more good, keeping you safe. 
And saves a lot of re-adjustment problems later on if something needed to
change.  They are always better off being in the cave, with us,
especially when they are family!  :-)  Cindy
